MEET YOUR GUIDES
Jody DiCastri + Jill Novak

Jill is the founder of Sister Science and co-creator of two previous Yoga Teacher Trainings under Fireweed Yoga with Jody DiCastri. Now, with deep roots and a clear vision, Jody and Jill bring this training under the Sister Science umbrella.
Known by her students as a “karma cleaner,” Jill has a gift for distilling complex ideas into practical wisdom. She helps you see clearly, act wisely, and hold yourself with compassion through it all. She teaches from a place of embodied experience—where intuition meets discipline, and healing meets leadership.
Jody DiCastri has led classes in a variety of settings and co-facilitated teacher trainings that center around embodiment, honest self-reflection, and practical integration.
With a background in Child Development and a deep interest in human behavior, Jody brings a curiosity in how people learn, grow, and connect with themselves. She has a special passion for supporting children and teens through yoga, helping them build emotional awareness, self-regulation practices, and confidence through movement and mindfulness.
Jody taught at Alchemy Yoga in Cochrane for many years and eventually became its owner for 6 years, an experience that deeply shaped her as a teacher and community leader.

WHAT PAST STUDENTS ARE SAYING
from our Past Fireweed Yoga TTP Students….

I knew this training it would change my life, so I signed up. And it did.

If you take this training you will definitely find out things about yourself that you would never have in a loving way. Oh and learn asanas too!!

Jill and Jody are excellent facilitators and very knowledgeable. They are a great team and were very organized in the structure of the course. They created a safe space for people to talk and release things that were bottled up inside. They are available to talk to because they are a presence in the community, which makes this training unique. They are wonderful women whom I am very privileged and glad to have learned from and will continue to learn from.

The time spent with Jody, Jill and my fellow teacher trainees was a transformative, unexpected experience for me and I feel so fortunate to have taken part!

Do it! It’s hard and scary, but super rewarding and amazing all at once! You will learn how truly amazing and strong you are as a person. Yoga has a way of subtly changing your life in all the right ways. And this teacher training does the same thing!

Fireweed Yoga Teacher Training has provided me with a much deeper knowledge of myself and how my strengths can contribute to yoga in our community. My personal practice is so much stronger and I have the information and confidence necessary to move forward as a yoga teacher! Should you not have an interest in teaching yoga, this investment in yourself will give you a diverse and valuable package of information so applicable in your daily life, and as a student of yoga. Fireweed YTT goes well beyond the poses.

If you are wanting to dive deep into yourself and the eight limbs of yoga, being led by wise, caring, knowledgeable instructors, then this is the training for you. It will highlight your strengths, and will offer you the opportunity to grow in all areas of your life while bringing you into a greater sense of community.

Take it! The teacher training that Fireweed Yoga offers is unique and well rounded. It allows individuals to find their own voice and discover what yoga means for the individual. Jill and Jody offer a welcoming and safe space to explore your own self development whilst teaching the beautiful wisdom of Yoga. Jill and Jody compliment each other wonderfully - I can not recommend this training enough!!
